Guidelines for change
- To cope with the many challenges and threats to its existence, Israel must have a population imbued with integrity, dependability, a willingness to work hard and confidence in itself.
- Changing the mores of society begins with the individual. Integrity, basic decent manners and a positive general attitude will usually have an influence on others − in the home, at work, with friends and even in casual encounters with strangers.
- Many people in Israel have these qualities, but not nearly enough. These qualities must also be promoted through the education system and the media − but mainly through more and more people joining what will be a permanent trend.
- When these qualities become part of the national ethos politicians and leaders will function accordingly. Government
decisions will then be based mainly on what is good for the country and not on personal and political interests as is presently so often the case.
- Israelis must strive for excellence in whatever they do. Israel must create fine products, provide outstanding service in every field, offer excellent education to everyone and create an economy based on hard, honest work and prudence.
Just by being decent and positive people can add more wholesomeness to the mood and style around them.
That's how to help strengthen Israel's spirit.
