Israel is unique and almost alone
It's important to realize this − not from a chauvinistic outlook, but at least from a historical perspective. Frequently the center of global attention, Israel is again critically threatened. There are certain things that Israelis and their supporters everywhere should be sharply aware of if we want Israel to stand up against the challenges and threats to its existence.
The most important word in the world
Truth − coming to grips with the meaning of this little word is probably essential not only to Israel and the Jewish people, but to the world at large. Our world as we know it might not even last another generation or two − what with global warming, rampant pollution and ultimate evil in the guise of religion. What do we really know about "truth?"
And what about peace?
Of course most people in Israel yearn for peace. Tragically it won't come until even more bloodshed and calamity will eventually make the enemies of peace realize the folly of trying to destroy Israel. Peace won't come until the enemies of Israel, and their passive supporters realize that their quest has been fueled mainly by falsehood and cynism promoted by narrow-minded, self-centered leaders and fanatical clerics. But let's try and be optimistic.
